Caring for Your Unit

Edited

Overview

Taking care of your home keeps it safe, comfortable, and in good condition. These guidelines prevent damage, protect your security deposit, and ensure everyone’s well-being.

Rules

  1. Smoke/CO Alarms — Test every 6 months and replace batteries as needed. Tampering with alarms carries a $250 fee.

  2. Prevent Mold — Keep your home at least 60°F, run fans during and after showers, don’t cover windows, and keep furniture at least 1” from walls.

  3. Wall Hangings — Use only small nails (<1”), up to 40 total. No large screws, anchors, or adhesives. Command Strips are fine.

  4. Appliance Care — Clean lint traps between dryer loads and make sure washer supply hoses are not leaking.

  5. Quiet Hours — From 10 pm to 7 am. No parties. Avoid disturbing your neighbors’ peaceful enjoyment of life.

  6. Clear Exits — Do not block windows, doors, stairs, or other emergency exits. Keep your unit clean to prevent pests.

  7. Fire Safety — No candles, incense, hookahs, open flames, flammable liquids, or hazardous materials inside.

  8. Maintenance Requests — Report issues immediately using DoorLoop. Please include photos or videos to speed up the repair.

Why It Matters

Proactive care prevents small problems from turning into costly repairs, keeps everyone safe, and preserves the quality of your home.
